As you may or may not know,i was lucky enough to aquire Bob Clarkes beautiful rx12 Corona.

Well,here are some updates since i got it.As lovely as it was,i just don’t do standard,so those who just can’t bear to see an original car modded,then look away now!

Fist of all,i gave the interior a general clean,took out all the carpets and washed them.Did the same with the centre console and removed a switch and a light in the dash and covered the holes with a chrome strip.
I decided to fit a cd player,but didn’t want to cut anything up,so i mounted shelf speakers in the back and put the stereo on the shelf below the glovebox.
While i was messing around with the rear seats out,i discovered 3 small rust holes in the

I actually didn’t include everything, there was some wadded up receipts and crap from like 1999. Also my AirportExpress and some extra foam I have stuffed into the bottom of the laptop bag to give itmore cushion for the pushin’.

Japanese Bug-Eyed-Superheroes Miming Speech

It has puzzled me for a long time why so many Japanese superheroes (Ultraman, Kamen Riders, Voltron or Golion, Go-Onger, Gao-ranger, you name ‘em) have bug-eyes, unmoving mouths, or no mouth at all and have a strong connection with mime.

I now have a theory about the connection between Japanese superheroes and mime.

Japanese superheroes make many gestures (see image above), like mime artists. And more, in a sense they also speak. But their mouths are always immovable. Often they do not have mouths at all. And yet they do speak: They mime speech!

Typicaly, a group of young males and one female strike poses, press buttons, or contact someone in heaven on a magical mobile phone, and change ("hensin") into a team of superheroes wearing colour coded wetsuits. Why

Home Office – My Desk

I spend a lot of time here. It’s my half of our home office (my wife has the other half). I work out of my house about 40% of the time, and my wife works out of the house in the evenings and weekends. We both work a good bit… so we are in this room more than any other in our house.

Anyways, my side of our office is filled with tech stuff. I have two large tower cases (one is a server, the other is my desktop), my work laptop, my personal laptop and my Macinotsh G4.

These machines connect to another group of computers in my basement (I have six runs of CAT5e cabling between my 2nd floor office and basement).

Guts of a car HF box

I found these HF kits for old log phones for 1€ each. Bought the two complete ones I could find. Lots of useful things in the mounting kit and a neat aluminium box with this inside. Mostly I was interested in that box. Those are horribly expensive. But there’s loads of stuff there and essentially abandoned, so I decided I could do a fair job recycling it.

Handheld and sunlit. I really should make a rig for this type of shots. And that lightbox/tent.

Amstel beer case car battery powered boom box | Roskilde Festival 2009

R. built this awesome boom box by modifying an Amstel beer case and putting in 4 speakers, a car battery and a car stereo. It worked wonders! Roskilde Festival 2009.
